She had found a new hiking spot in the book and this spot was near spots we've checked out in the past outside of St. Joe's. We started out eating breakfast at the Hardee's in Harrison ARK^a, which is SORT OF on the way, then heading towards St Joe's to check out the past spots again and the new hiking trail spot she'd found in the book. We started by checking out Grinder's Ferry^b, a favorite of mine in the area where the water is DEEP, but the spot was BUSY and that got on my nerves. We then went to the spot she'd found in the book, Collier Homestead Trail^c (p42) which had nice views (and was short) and is in the same parking area as the Tyler Bend spot ^d (p102). The kids had fun at Tyler Bend but it was too shallow for me except for this one spot which was deeper and a caonoer was fishing the heck out of (which irritated me since I'd encounter the busyness at Grinder's Ferry earlier.) We tried Grinder's Ferry again and AGAIN it was freaking busy. UGH!!!! Honestly I've seen fewer people at a Taylor Swift concert and even kept saying that aloud so people would hear me. We then went to Shine Eye^e (p104) which was also nearby and which I knew had this one spot I hike to where the water is very deep and the spot is secluded. The water level was higher than in the past, enough I didn't need to hike to that spot 10-15 miles to the left because the spot right there was plenty. That helped me wash off the irritation I felt at Tyler Bend & Shine Eye.

We ate lunch at Hardee's in Russellville then went back to the cabin for awhile, then my wife wanted to help me get some sunset shots so we went around various spots trying, we went to the scenic overlook on ARK 7 near the Round top trail from yesterday then Bradley Park^f where AGAIN someone was fishing the heck out of the very deep spot I like to go in. I later walked to Bradley Park while everyone else was resting & the fishing crowd was now gone. (Basically it was a day where I was griping about spots having too many people at them, especially Grinder's Ferry but even Bradley Park the first time got on my nerves today.)
