Near Oxford Mills. I was happy to see this beauty, one of several hundred found in a large field of brown-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia), their preferred host plant.
What a glorious image, with wings open! I've been waiting to see someone post a wings open photo of this species. Interesting, from above this species looks a lot like a Northern Crescent.
