European wool carder bee (Anthidium manicatum)

A non-native species, probably accidentally introduced. They are often seen around plants with woolly leaves, such as Lamb's ears (Stachys) in gardens and other places, as they scrape the "wool" off the the leaves to line their nests. Hence the common name of Wool Carder!
