Dear Reader, If you came here due to my link I shared via Facebook or email, then it means I thought of you personally to share the gospel with. To keep your attention, I will make this as short as possible but not holding back the most important things I believe need to be shared.
10 out of 10 die. Death is inevitable...and so is judgment day. We need to look at that special day we when everyone will have to meet God to be judged according to His standard of Holiness. Lets go through a few of the 10 commandments given in Exodus 10 to see if you ( and myself ) will be found guilty or innocent on judgment day.
3rd commandment. Thou shalt not take the Lords name in vain ( without reference ). Have you ever used Gods name as a filth word, or even without the reverence He deserves ? Ever said " o my God / OMG " ? Just using His name or title without giving Him glory is in vain and God said He would not hold him guiltless if His name was used in vain.
5th commandment. Have you ever dishonored your parents ? Ever lied to them, disobeyed them, kept secrets from them ? You have no excuse to do so because God says to give them honor and reverence. You disobey them, you disobey God.
6th commandment. You shalt not murder. Ever murder ? Probably not BUT God said this in 1 John 3:15 .. " if you hate anyone your guilty of murder " !
7th commandment. Thou shalt not commit adultery ( fornication , pornography etc ). Ever done that ? Probably but if not then read what Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” Have you ever looked at someone with lust ? Of course you have.
8 th commandment Ever stole anything ? No ? Thou shalt not steal, God does not care about the value, that is irrespective of his commandment or how long ago its been.. Ever been at work for any amount of time and wasn't working when you should be ? Thats stealing from your employer.
Lets try the 9th Commandment.. Bearing false witness telling a lie. Have you ever told a lie, white lie, fib, exaggeration, half truth ? Everyone has and in Rev 21:8 God says all liars will have their part in the lake of fire. Honesty must always characterize our speech and conduct. To bear false witness against our neighbor is an affront to a holy God Who is Himself "the truth and the life" (John 14:6)
10th commandment Thou shalt not covet. Wanting something that doesn't belong to you. This starts out as a spark of desire that could result in causing you to break a number of commandments.
So on Judgment Day do you think you will go to heaven or hell ?
Heaven ? Why with all these charges against you that you have admitted ? Because you think God is good and He will forgive you ? So your going to tell God your sorry and you know Hés a good God and will forgive you ? ... is that what your saying ? Well you should be sorry but God cant forgive you because as you said He is a good God. He is so good that He has to do what is right and condemn murders , rapists , child molestors .. AND he is so good he has to judge liars, thieves and fornicators. God is so GOOD that on Judgment Day He is going to take in account of every idle word you have ever spoken ( Matthew 12:36). God even knows our thoughts and intents of our hearts. Just like those commandments we went over, He knows when we covet, lust, get angry, are envious, jealous and spiteful. He even knows when we know to do good and decide not to do it (James 4:17) ! -Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. This is how GOOD God will be on Judgment Day. We don't even need to argue with God about our guilt because He said ALL men have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God ( Romans 3:23 ). And the wages of sin is DEATH ( Romans 6:23). There is absolutely NOTHING we can do about it. No good deeds or going to church can save us from hell. Isaiah 64:6 says.." all our righteousness are as filthy rags "
Its apparently clear that there is no hope on Judgment Day for the lost ! But God in His loving mercy provided a way for us to keep from being handed what we deserve for our sins... that is a lake of fire called Hell. What did He do for us? Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God sent His Son Jesus to be scourged ( beyond your imagination ) and nailed to a cross so that a way to escape hell could be provided. Jesus shed his precious blood to wash away our sins so that we may be forgiven. Jesus took on this punishment so that our sins could be forgiven. Gods Goodness demanded innocent blood be shed so that our sins can be forgiven. ( Hebrews 9:22 ) So finally the big question is " what can we do to keep from being found guilty on Judgment Day "? Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Ask Jesus into your heart so much to the point that this belief causes you to speak his name in conversation and to live a life that is acceptable to Him. And Gods Word is FULL of commands to repent which means to turn away from sin. You cant turn away from sin UNLESS you turn to God. Its impossible on your own to repent.
When should you do this ? RIGHT NOW ! Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? You could die at any minute. Your next breath is not promised to you, so please take the gift that God has so graciously paid for into your heart so that we may be forgiven on Judgment Day.
Dear Lord, please forgive me for all the sins I have done in my life. I understand the outcome if I am found guilty on Judgment Day and I so want to be innocent. Please Lord come into my heart and change me so I will be acceptable to you. Help me grow in the knowledge and love you have provided. Amen
