The Hart House

Log cabin hiding under years of siding and addons. The log construction looks to be from the 1700's. George Small first purchased land
in this region in 1786. By 1825 he owned some 1,800 acres, including the Hart Cabin land, from Fleming's Pond in Sharpsburg, south into
Montgomery county. The deeds give the east-west boundries as lying between Somerset and Flat Creeks.
