Ken Griffey Jr. has had a special friendship built with a family who lost the husband/dad as a firefighter at the World Trade Center on 9/11. Since our game was on 9/11/07, they had a special presentation and the son got to throw out the first pitch as Griffey caught. They had a nice video that preceded the pitch, and the story was very moving.
