The second best demonstration at the fort is definitely starting fires with flint and steel. I really have a good time doing this because you can get the visitors involved in it. Although sometimes it is hard to get a spark to land on the char cloth, it always works and the the people are amazed. Actually the best part is at the end where I invite the audience to try their hand at making sparks. The kids really love it, and the moms and dads like to try it as well.
