July 31, 2010

At the beginning of the day and the end of the day we have a flag talk at the fort. I think this is actually the most important talk of the day because it is all about pride in our country and celebrating the accomplishments of true American heros. The interesting thing about the flag that Lewis and Clark carried on the Voyage of Discovery is that although it was the official flag of the nation and had 15 stars, there were actually 17 states at the time. The reason is that Cangress had to approve the flag design and they hadn't had a chance to get around to it. As a matter of fact it took them 23 years to get it right. I guess there were too many committee meetings or something. The Federalists (who were equivalent to the democrats) probably had to conduct polling to see where they should come down on the issue. Because they have no spine, all the politicians were probably only worried about their chances of being re-elected. Things haven't changed very much.

That about sums it up. Don't think you will have to attend the refresher course this year.

I think I am quite safe in saying you do not like/trust politicians John.
Its my Psyops training that picks up little things like that.
