Scanned from a Talbotype stereoview from the early 1850's
This was an interesting find at a local market and is the oldest stereoview in my collection, Talbotypes are quite rare.
The Talbotype process was developed by Henry Fox Talbot using paper negatives in the early 1840's based on his pioneering work in the late 1830's. This was mostly chemical changes from his early work.
This one is a view of an unknown castle..
