Scanned from a stereoview circa 1855
An early view of Caernarfon Castle (often anglicised to Carnarvon) which is located in Gwynedd in north west Wales.
The castle was built in 1283 by King Edward I though there were Norman fortifications built on the site in 1088 and prior to that the Romans.
