We were fortunate to cruise on Viking Ocean Cruises Viking Homelands itinerary. We traveled to Stockholm a day early taking in some of the sights before embarking on our ship Viking Sea on May 29, 2018. We spent the night in port and took the included Stockholm sightseeing tour on the 30th. From Stockholm, Viking Sea cruised the Baltic Sea (and eventually the North Sea) calling on Helsinki, Finland; St Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; Gdansk, Poland; Warnermunde, Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; Aalborg, Denmark; Stavanger, Norway; Eidfjord, Norway; and, finally, Bergen, Norway. We disembarked in Bergen on June 12, 2018. Each port of call offered a fascinating mix of culture, social systems, architecture and, of course, people.
