"Tokay Gecko"
This is Jack, our resident reptile. I didn't feel like taking any shots today, but I got the camera out anyway. Jack was sitting there in an accessible spot in his environment. Seemed like a good subject on an unmotivated day...

Outstanding close-up JD ... I can't believe those colors and how sharp it is. Your photographs are such an inspiration!

Always good to hear of your many exploits, JD. Keeping pace with your frenzied life must be a real challenge - we all certainly wish you the best. Keep up the fine work, whenever you can squeeze it in! We'll be a-waitin'! :) Kind regards - Patrick

Thank you Wes, Patrick, and Ann! I've been off work for three months, so I have had lots of time for photography and for post-processing/uploads, etc. I went back to work at Intel this past week (I'm a consultant in the semiconductor industry) and I've been swamped. We are also planning for a trip to Indiana to see my brother, who is in the Army and stationed in Germany. He was injured in Iraq, and we have not seen him since 1998, so this is an important trip. My wife is still working lots of hours since she went to full time while I was off. I still have photography and woodworking obligations from when I was off. My return to Intel was rather sudden. I wanted to go back in December, but they said 'yesterday' was more of what they needed. After getting there, 'last month' would better describe their needs. Sooooo.... we are extremely busy, not enough time for necessities, let alone side projects! I'll keep taking shots, though. We will be on the road Nov 19 to Nov 28, but I'll try to keep up. Otherwise, I'll post lots of shots when we get back!
Take care everybody!

JD... thanks for adding this comment ("I didn't feel like taking any shots today") to your post today. I've been really finding it difficult to have anything other than a snapshot lately for my PAD (and somedays not even that). Hearing that someone with as much talent as you struggles with that at time too was very encouraging! The picture's not half bad either! ;)

Terrific, spot-on macro, JD! The detail and color is amazing. Very well done! =:)

You definitely deserve a break, JD! I appreciate the work you did for this photo, even though you were unmotivated.
