Brilliant capture of the essence of rural China lifestyle and the Chinese ethnic minorities.
I do not see ugly people as suggested by some. I see stories of their life etched deep in their faces . The innocent youths,the beautiful maidens, the wise old generation,the hard working young men. That is the fact of life,some confronting images but beautifully captured in your images.

To answer the comment below: If you see only ugly faces here, then that is your perception, and a sad one. There are faces here from others countries besides China and there are a number of ethnic minorities. Many people had no problem with being photographed, as can be seen by a number of the expressions. And we move on.

Don't you mean the "many ugly faces of rural China"? Looks like you went looking for the ugliest people you can find just to photograph them. So you go around in poor cities and photograph these unfortunate people and put up their faces on the internet for everybody to look at, like their some kind of freak show and without their permission.

Yes. Look around at the millions of photographs of candid photographs of people taken all over the world by millions of photographers and posted in many thousands of locations. When public, it is ok. If used for other purposes you need to get a model release.
