The Buddhist temple located a short distance up the mountain had been vandalized by someone painting crosses on the walls beside their deities and after moving the deities out from the wall, behind them. They then pushed the deities back to the wall. The crosses, in black paint, were painted over but it was obvious what they were.
This gentleman was very gracious on this hot and humid day, playing a video on Tibetan Buddhism and discussing his beliefs. He is holding a cigaret, that he doubles in length by carefully fitting a second cigaret inside the tip of the first one. His forehead is covered in sweat and we were thankful for a light breeze that drifted through this pine covered ridge.
