Pretty much every year for years we burn our Christmas tree on New Year’s Eve at the stroke of midnight, but since this year it was so nasty out (and COLD!) we postponed the firing of the tree ceremony until today when the weather was beautiful in the mid 70’s. It’s always a little sad for me, because it means another wonderful Christmas season is done and gone. This was a “most excellent” one, with Santa being very good to all of us. Even if Santa had NOT been very good to all of us, it still would have been a wonderful year, for the “gifts” do not a good season make. We are all healthy, happy and all of our family are healthy and happy. It was a VERY good year!
