Fred this looks like entirely too much work :) but I love it! Well seen, and well executed post processing!

Thanks Rizal, Michael.nj and John for your kind words. Much appreciated. And John, you're doing a tremendous job encouraging me and everybody else who post pictures to the challenges. Thanks a lot.

Hi Fred,
Love your choice of subject and your execution. The bright yellow symbolises the sun and, as has been observed, the B&W subjects underneath symbolise the sun being blocked. I very much like the dramatic yellow to contrast with the rest of the scene and there is plenty of interest to observe in you pic.
Cheers, John

Nicely done. I have yet to try the layering, etc. I think I could handle a single object, but this looks like an all day event. If not, don't tell me and let me think you spent hours on it. Lots to look at.

Fred, this is very amusing to me. The gentleman in the right foreground seems to squint at the brightness of the parasols. But the first thought that came into my mind is the sun (light) blocked by the shade renders all colorless.
