15-Feb-2019 Sculpteur : Kito.

One of these Breton saints whose life remains almost completely unknown. Remember that the Celts did not write, preferring oral tradition. This is the reason why it is still not known today whether the Christianization of Armorica was carried out peacefully or more vigorously. Most of the hagiographies of the Celtic saints were written in the monasteries four to five centuries after the arrival of the new populations in Armorica..
We just know that Moe came from Ireland and lived in the sixth century.
References to fishing on sculpture are related to patrons, a family of fishermen.

They seem to be in the middle of doing something as compared to traditional statues that look inert. V

Amazing how the sculptor has created a character with very little go on - it would be nice to know more about Moe !! Another great image Daniel BV

A wondrous image, with the figure appearing to grow organically from the earth. Riveting. VV

a sympathtiec figure in colour harmony with the setting...was it not Irish monks who brought the magic words to Armorica, as well as the harp..
