Saint-Piran's Odyssey.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the site, in July 2018, the association of the Valley of Saints decided that from now on, each year, a saint would be carved in one of the Celtic countries and would cross the Channel on an old rig.

These crossings, called «Crossing of the Giants» symbolically recall those of the monks who came from across the Channel, who faced the sea to join the Armorica.
For its first edition, British Cornwall was chosen.
This first sculpture made off-site represents Piran, patron saint of Cornwall.

The crossing of St-Piran took place without incident and many festivities were organized all along the terrestrial part of the route.
Part on May 11, 2018 from Falmouth (Cornwall)aboard the old rig «The Nebula», the statue arrived on May 26 in the valley of the saints.
The Odyssey took it from Falmouth to the port of Paimpol, then up the river Trieux to Pontrieux. There it was loaded on an old steam train to a small station where it was loaded on tractors surrounded by 400 bikers, up to the hill of the site.

Saint Piran is the hundredth sculpture of the project.
