Part of the Deer Run bike trail runs behind the Maintenance Yard and Park Administrative Office, and the open area in the middle is supposed to be a good spot for Blue-winged and Golden-winged Warblers. We didn't see either, but we did have at least one pair of Eastern Bluebirds and a House Wren near the nest boxes, a Red-tailed Hawk flying over, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and a couple of Phoebes. In this picture you can see the remains of an old stone wall erected by the original settlers.
