Sambar Deer

The Sambar Deer is a large heavy deer very reminiscent of the Red Deer from back home in Scotland. There were good numbers of them in Khao Yai National Park but they only really survive in protected areas. Some have become habituated and hang around the park headquarters. They were also present at the Huai Han Krai Royal project.
