In March 2007 I visited Thailand on a Tropical Birding trip led by Benji Schwartz - see http://www.tropicalbirding.com for their scheduled trips and http://www.tropicalbirding.com/tripReports/TR_Thailand_2007/TR_Thailand_2007.htm for the trip report.
Many thanks to Benji and to our two local Thai birding leaders Amorn and Pinit. Our three week trip took us to the coast at Phetchaburi, to Khao Yai, then to the north western reserves of Doi Chang Doa, Doi Ang Khang and Doi Inthanon before returning south to Khoi Nor Churchi, Krabi, Phi Phi Island and Sri Phang Nga.
Throughout the trip photography was constantly challenging with many birds being found in the darkness of the forest undergrowth or as backlit silhouettes on tree tops so the images here represent only about a quarter of the species which we saw. Obviously on a short trip the time which can be spent waitng for the right photographic opportunity is limited.
