A barrage of savage squalls and horizontal rain and hail swept in across Loch Assynt on an early Spring afternoon. It was unpleasant but very dramatic and I waited through two total soakings to capture the build up of a third deluge. You can see it approaching engulfing the Quinag mountain peak at the far end of Loch Assynt and about to consume the derelict castle on the spit of land. I took two shots gathered the whole lot up and fled to the safety of the car. Being on the edge of a weather front is troublesome but magnificent.
