Loch Assynt, Sutherland, Scotland
The most beautiful golden sunlight squeaked it's way beneath a thin layer of cloud and caramelised the scots pine trees on their little island homes at the edge of Loch Assynt. Blue and gold make a very powerful colour combination so I utilised the golden grasses on the foreshore and used them as a natural frame for the reflected pines beneath a wonderful cloud dappled sky. A magical moment on a rather difficult and rare blue sky day.
