Joop's Dog Log - Tuesday Feb 24

OK, OK, no politics today. Although we just heard GWB on the radio, going at it.
Sounds like he`s warming up for a nasty campaign.
In The Netherlands we have a yearly `irritation survey`.
Humans who have studied at a university go out and ask other humans what irritates them most.
Here is this year`s Dutch National Irritation Hitparade:
1. bad manners
2. TV commercials
3. high prices since the Dutch Guilder was replaced by the Euro
4. street violence
5. vandalism
6. bad driving
7. trash in the streets
8. unhelpful helpdesks
9. dog shit on sidewalks
10. high wages of big managers
The good news is that dog shit is down and street violence is up, irritation-wise.
The photo shows me at the youth center in my town.
We often have irritation numbers 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 here.

Do you know what my human finds REALLY irritating: those pollsters!

Moin Joop...Tokyo...Tokoy...what is written on this sign?
Take me to Tokyo or are they big in Japan in Tokyo nights? Some of these answers could have come from Germans too, especially items 3,6,9,10...but this is hardcore politics too...in little Güster the bell toll more softly than in Hamburg and we are looking forward how things will develop here when the new youth center will be opened....

HAHAHAHAHA! Funny. I actually LIKE answer polls. :-)
When I lived in Antwerpen, the biggest irritation I had was dog shit on the sidewalk. Man! If you`re going to live in the city and you are a human with a dog, at least clean up after it!! I adore dogs, but not dog SHIT all over the place. ;-) :-)
And Joop, I love it when your human talks politics!!

Ok, you are right, but the other colors of this design where combination of red/black and green/black...this would have been absolutely ugly with our fur...

No need to stop the commentary, Joop! I for one enjoy it.

Chloe Bear says doggy messes are a very big issue in our community particularly after the spring thaw! There are even some humans who would like to see us banned from the beaches and parks!

Interesting...very interesting. My sense is that those things would be a `nusance` here in the States, but irritations might be a bit more like: unnecessary wars, jobs sent overseas, tax cuts for the wealthy etc. Remember, we are in an election year (as you probably noticed from george spewing lies again) and everything is magnified about 100 times.
I think life has changed here in the States since 9/11...everything is so serious. But anyway, Joop, maybe things will get a bit better after the election...in which george MUST GO.

Hi Joop,
Life is so much more simple for a dog - we really have very little to complain about - for example cat poop in people`s gardens is very irritating to humans, but I find it a delicacy, and vandalism, well I`m pretty good at that myself, so appreciate a good mess once in a while. I wonder why they have to go to university to invent a survey like this :-)

Hey Joop!
you know, your human IS pretty darn smart!
He and /Amberwing guessed pretty much what that big brick building in my town was... :)
What gave it away? Amberwing told me her reason.... :)
and posted a special pic to boot!
I left a link to the "business" website up on my flog now, you might find it interesting!

What should I say Joop? I think Joop, you should tell the humans who have studied they should ask other humans what _pleased_ them most. That`s positive thinking and produces a positive energy. The question above just produces frustration and negative energy.
How do you think about that?

Glad you did not add to the irritations by added #9! I bet those teens leave lots of smells to snout out! This is a great photo. Love the hazy background and the shadow. (of course I love you best, Joop)
