Joop's Dog Log - Wednesday Jan 28

So what do we have here?
A nice traditional yellow Dutch house, you may think. NOT!
What we have here is a cheap tourist trap.
Look at the fake curtains, they are painted on the windows…!
It`s a roadside attraction for tourists.
So I marked it on all sides. To warn you. Fake! Don`t bother.

HAHAHAHAHA! Good for you, Joop, for marking the "fake" house. :-) Oh, we have lots of those tourist traps in America, too. YUCK!
And no... no more brazilian girls... unless she happens to become Dogmiss, of course... ;-) :-)

What an endeavour for a fake...your country is so beautiful, the landscape is attraction enough....for Güsterland dogs like us....marking is ok....is it really a tradition to paint houses yellow in NL?

Dear Mr. Joop,
what are the tourists suppose to think or do, when they see this house? Will the netherland`s humans rent it to them, and when the tourists go inside there is nothing in it, no even a loo? Or do they lure the tourits inside and keep them there? If so, how much are already in there? Are they still alive?

Good work, Joop! The Department of Tourism should hire you — you give such great tours of the real Netherlands!

Thank you, Joop. Now, if I go there with my fur-bearing friends, they`llknow and understand as well.

And Joop, you`re right on about those boring snapshots. If fotolog weren`t so over-loaded we could have lots more pictures of your handsome self and the like.

Are those REALLY fake curtains, Joop? They look so real.
I totally agree about all the snapshot garbage that is uploaded on F/L...making it difficult for the rest of us to enjoy F/L. I wrote the admins about it, and I hope your human did, too. The more they hear about our dissatisfaction, perhaps they will be motivated to make some choices about what they want F/L to ultimately be.

Saw your note over at Ann`s. I agree with you. The ironic thing, though, is that I think the teenage phone pic kids seem to be closer to what the FL founders had in mind; an unedited daily diary of life all over the world, not the more thoughtful medium for expression and experimentation that some of us are using FL for. I get as irritated as anyone when the system gets bogged down. But I`d still rather see them work the kinks out of the system so that it works for everyone rather than start excluding people; the nice thing about the site is that if it works right, it should work cooperatively for every purpose. But I fear that the FL operators, though sincere in their intentions, are inexperienced at managing a rapidly growing enterprise like this.

Yah, Joop, what I want to know is why we cannot have a seperate f`log for folks in any country who want to look at boys and girls and body parts and snapshots, and leave this one for those who want some more serious photographs? It would sure make life easier for everyone!
Oh, and thanks for the warning. You never know when one of us might wander over there, noticing yr markings and be saved much bacon cookie money. You ARE a good guy!
