The PBase mail system allows you to communicate with other PBase users without having to reveal an external email address.

Your profile page will display the number of unread messages you have. For example, if you have two new messages, your profile page will display that "You have two new messages waiting". To check your messages, you can either click that link, or check your inbox directly at www.pbase.com/mail.
Your profile page displays the number of unread messages. Just click on the link to view them.

Inbox New messages will be in your inbox. Unread messages will appear in bold. You can choose to save, delete, or leave your messages in your inbox. Sent Box Any time you send a mail to another member, a copy will be saved in your sent box. You can choose to save, delete, or leave the message in your sent box. By default, the mail preview box is displayed to the right of the box where you compose your message.
If you have a narrow browser window, you may want to change the setting to display it beneath where you compose your message.
To access your mail account settings go to your inbox and click the settings link below your mailboxes.

You can allow or disallow the sender to know whether or not you have read their mail. By default, senders cannot see if their mails have been read.

Instructions

  1. From your inbox, click on "compose new mail".

  2. Enter the username of the person you wish to send mail to.

  3. Enter a subject for the message.

  4. Type the message in the blank field.

  5. You may preview the message before sending it by hitting the "Preview Mail" button.

  6. Send the message by hitting the "Send Mail" button.
