The account screen displays account information for a single user. This page can be accessed by logging in, going to your profile page, and clicking the "edit your account settings" link under your username.
*Account Information*
Account Email Address
You must enter a valid account email address so you can receive password reminders and other account notifications. This email address is not displayed to other people. If you want to let others see your email address, you will need to enter a public email address. Account email addresses are unique throughout PBase, so you can also use it as your username to login to your account.
We are planning to add features that will allow you to request email notifications, such as new comment notices. In order to receive these notifications you will first have to verify your email address. You can do this by clicking the 'verify my email address' next to your account email. If it has already been verified, you will see 'Verified' next to the email.
For security purposes, you will need to enter your current password and hit the "Update" button to make changes to your account email address.
New Password
You can change your password by entering the old password and the new password twice. For your own security, please choose a good password. A good password contains many characters, no words, some numbers, and some punctuation.
*Public Information*
Nametag
You can specify a name for people to see when looking at your galleries. If these fields are left blank, your username will be displayed in its place. Many people use their first and last name or just their first name.
URL
You can specify a personal URL. Your personal URL can be seen by anybody looking at your profile page.
Your Country
You can specify your country. Your country's name and flag will be displayed for anyone looking at your profile page.
Public Email
You do not have to enter a public email address. If you do enter one, it does not have to match any certain format. For instance, using 'me at yahoo dot com' would be just fine.
Once you enter an email address, you have three choices about who can see it.
1 - Everybody, including guests, can view your public email address.
2 - People must be logged in to view your public email address.
3 - Only PBase subscribers may view your public email address.

Copyright Statement
Technically, all images are automatically copyrighted by the photographer. If you would like a specific copyright message to be displayed at the bottom of the image screen, you can enter it here. This same message will display for all of your images. You can override this copyright statement at the gallery level using the advanced gallery settings.

Who can post comments to your galleries
You can specify who can post comments to your galleries. There are four options.
1 - Guests can post
2 - Must be logged in to post
3 - Must be a PBase subscriber to post
4 - Nobody can post
Who can post non-hidden comments
You can choose to review comments from certain people before they are visible to everyone.
1 - Guest comments are displayed immediately
2 - Comments from anyone with an account are displayed immediately
3 - Only comments from PBase subscribers display immediately
4 - No comments display immediately
Comment display preference
You can choose how you want visitors to add comments
1 - Comments and comment entry box are displayed inline
2 - Comments are displayed with a link to the comment entry box
Enable direct linking to images
You can disable direct linking to your images by unchecking the checkbox by "Allow direct linking from other sites, such as forums and blogs".
Email notifications about news
Periodically, PBase sends out news emails to let customers know about new features and upgrades.
You can opt out of these emails by unchecking the checkbox by "Please send me email notifications about PBase news".
