Still loving the park

Sahraa continues to cope with her cognitive dysfunction (similar to Alzheimer’s in humans), and we haven’t yet seen an improvement from the medication she’s taking. But like before, her greatest joy is to go the park and try to get people to pet her, and then head for the doggie bucket at the coffee shop for a long drink of water.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

Sorry to hear that the medication hasn't helped yet. Maybe it just needs more time. Meanwhile, if she can still remain happy with her life as it is now, that can make a difference going forward. It's good that the park gives her so much pleasure. However, I'm surprised that calmly Sahara allowed you to take this nice portrait. That definitely is a change in her behavior. She's always been camera shy. She's not here.

She looks so beautiful here though it is easy to see she is ageing. But if she still loves the park and getting people to pat her, then that is a very good thing, a very hopeful thing. VV

This is the first I've heard of her cognitive dysfunction. That must be difficult to deal with - both for her and you and Tim. I hope you find some success with medication. It's a tough situation to deal with.
