Pacific Depot, Kirkwood, Missouri (1893)

Built in 1893 by the Missouri Pacific Railroad, this depot’s agent services were discontinued by Amtrak in 2003. Wanting to keep the station running, the city bought it and staffed it with volunteers, who greet guests and provide arrival and departure times for travelers.

Building materials include birch, pine cone scales, gourd, monkey pot fruit, honey locust thorn and allspice fruit in the roof.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
