Featuring a Beaux Arts architectural style and 18 stories, Michigan Central Station had the distinction of being the tallest rail station in the world when it opened in 1913. It was designed by the same team that worked on New York’s Grand Central Terminal. The final train left this station on January 5, 1988, bound for Chicago.
Building materials include honeysuckle branches, eucalyptus fruit, sweet gum fruit, willow, pinecone scales, tulip poplar seeds, cinnamon and reed in the columns.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

We went to the United States Botanic Garden’s Season’s Greenings exhibit titled “All Aboard,” which showcases historic train stations from around the country made almost entirely from plant materials.
