Palais Bahia

The Palais Bahia, or Palace of the Favorite, was built by two powerful grand viziers at the end of the 19th century. This will be a relatively short gallery featuring mainly the elaborate ceilings, which were different in every apartment we visited.

A well thought out composition showing the beauty and intricacies of this amazing ceiling. The lamp adds depth and I love the inclusion of the pillar which seems to act as a visual anchor. Great shot.
