In July of 2010, my wife and I fulfilled a dream (especially that of my wife) by rather suddenly picking up all our belongings, trudging across the desert, and settling down in the magical little tourist town of Sedona in the heart of Arizona. The relocation was hardly without its difficulties...a blown transmission in my truck in the middle of the scorching desert, countless issues selling our existing home in Colorado, and an uncertain job situation had to be overcome. However, we knew we made the right decision when, upon are arrival, a beautiful double rainbow formed over our new home.

Now that we've had the opportunity to settle in and I've gotten the chance to explore the area, in depth, photographically...I figured it was time to start up a gallery with a collection of imagery from the area. Sedona is such a special desert enviroment. What sets it apart from many other parts of the state are both the red rock monoliths that rise abruptly around the town, and the riparian environments that surround it in the form of the Oak Creek and Verde River drainages. And should the heat become unbearable in the summer, a short trip northward to Flagstaff's mountainous alpine environment provides relief in spectacular fashion.
