We had a really nice snowstorm here in Sedona that hit overnight a couple of nights ago. It's always so cool to wake up to snow draped all over the red rocks and desert vegetation. Mother Nature even conveniently directed the storm to break up in the early morning hours. Unfortunately though, she forgot to turn on the lights! The sun wasn't actually able to break through until mid morning...by then it was a bit strong to yield any killer shots. My best effort of the day came during the evening in the Schnebly Hill area. By that time, the strong Arizona sun had melted away most of the snow. Regardless, the fantastic light, clouds, and melt water puddles provided enough drama looking towards Mitten Ridge to overcome the lack of snow.
