The skywalk connects the Rhythm City Casino to downtown Davenport. When River Drive is flooded, there is a big influx of people wanting to view the Mississippi River as it provides an opportunity for geese and ducks to do their fishing in a more upscale environment. The skywalk provides the perfect for viewing the flood (Davenport has opted not to build a flood wall preserving the view of the river but making life difficult for businesses and baseball).

I really like the distorted reflections, the greenish cast of the light, all the varied lines and patterns, and the sense of looking down into long horizontal. I thought of displaying the photo upside down just to throw you off. Go ahead, turn it over and prepare to be disoriented.

This photo was taken in 2005. The river has not failed to flood in subsequent years, 2008 being no exception.
