Wow, I've seriously been slacking off. I've been posting pretty much everyday since the end of November. Christmas comes, and I just haven't felt the urge, for anything. Not picking up the camera, not posting anything I did take, or even feel the need to write. I took this on the 25th, but posting it today on the 29th.
Christmas day was really nice. We opened our presents at home in the morning, and then went to mom and dads for lunch and more presents. The food was out of this world good. This is gonna sound weird, but I had the best mac and cheese ever. I'm not a big mac and cheese fan, but YUM! We also ham, mashed potatoes, rolls...all the goodies.
So the big family gift this year was Guitar Hero World Tour. The whole kit. Guitar, drums and mic. We already have one guitar, so now we can play bass as well. Or at least we could for one day. The new guitar broke after the first day. The strum bar will only strum on the upward motion. And that's only if it isn't strumming all by itself. I've already got a new one coming from Activision. Apparently the switches used for the strum mechanism are faulty and it's a fairly common failure. Also, the drums were broken right out of the box as well. That was purely cosmetic damage, so I decided to super glue the cracks since the drums work perfectly. So hopefully sometime next week, we'll be back to a four person band again.
I really didn't like most the photos I took from Christmas day, but I just had to post this one of my dad hamming it up with the bunny ears on my niece Emily. There's one in every crowd...
