It's early Christmas morning as I sit to write this, but the photo is legit as it was taken with two minutes to spare before midnight. ;)
We had a fairly pleasant Christmas Eve day with some of the daycare kids coming for a half day, since the Ebeneezers the parents work for wouldn't give them the whole day off.
With the kids gone around noon, me and my boys hung out here while Margaret made a last minute run to the grocery store. No doubt to gather the last fixins needs for the killer Christmas dinner she made. Turkey breast w/gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberries, and poppy seed rolls. Capped that off with a nice slice of pumpkin pie. Yea, I'm out of control, but what the hell, that's what new years resolutions are for, right? To start anew?
After dinner, we sat around the tv and played Guitar Hero, trading off every two songs between the three addicts. We played that for a couple of hours and then flipped on 24 hours of Christmas Story on TBS.
Soon, Ian went to bed and Eli even crashed out a little earlier than he normally would, so Margaret and I came down stairs to surf and check emails. We swore we heard Ian walking around upstairs, so we headed up to send him back to bed.
Turns out he was still in bed, and out cold. And Eli, well, he can't walk yet, so what the heck was that? We turn the corner out of Ian's room and we spot what that noise was. Santa had snuck in while we were downstairs. Other than a few footsteps, we never heard a thing.
Ohhh, this guy is good.
Merry Christmas everyone.
