9-day self-drive trip in Tasmania (11-19 March 2012). Itinerary: Hobart - Richmond - Bruny Island - Mt Field National Park - Cradle Mountain - Bicheno - Freycinet National Park. We can't see all the 12 Tasmanian endemic but we have seen plenty of native nocturnal mammals like wallabies, pademelons, bandicoots, brushtail possums, wombats and quolls. We are so delighted to see the wild platypus swimming in the lake just in front of our cottage in the Mt Field National Park's region. Unfortunately we did not see any echidna nor did we see any tasmanian devil.
