Two nights stay in Cradle Mountain Lodge. Weather was unstable with heavy pour on the first day. Joined a spotlight tour arranged by the Lodge but animals were scared by the thunderstorm and was uneventful. Fortunately no rain on the second night and we did manage to see quite a lot of animals on the roadside. Wombats and wallabies wandered around the lodge before dusk. Common Brushtail Possums were also readily seen. One of them even knocked my window when catching an insect. We were so fortunate to see three Eastern Quolls but no Tasmanian Devil. Bird life is quiet but the walks around the lodge is great.
