In June, Greg and Ginger Lewis, Ron and Diane Pierce and Lillian and I went to France for two weeks. The highlight of the trip was 6 days on the Canal du Midi aboard the barge EMMA. What a great trip!! We started with 3 days in Paris, then took the TGV(bullet train) to Bordeaux. We stayed near St. Emilion in a Chateau and took some wine tours/tastings. We then drove thru Sarlat, Rocamadour and Cordes-sur-ciel to our rendezvous with the EMMA.The 6 days aboard EMMA were wonderful and relaxing. The food and drink were both excellent and plentiful. Most of all, the crew of Liz and Rene (owners) and Anita and Christophe were a delight to be with.
