From Seleucia (Samandağ), 5th century AD. It was found in a martyrium, a church built over the burial site of a Christian saint (or Christians who did good deeds for their religion). The mosaic was from before 526, when an earthquake caused damage to the church, that was repaired. Part of its structure, with four semicricles in a four-leaved clover shape, is reconstructed in the museum. Animals such as elephant, zebra, hippopotamus and birds may symbolize heaven.
