A replica of a cult place, with an original statue in its centre. Her clothes, hair dress and archaic features show Greek influence.
As for the statue:
Statue of the goddess Kybele, accompanied by two musicians, one playing a double flute, the other a cithara.
The goddess is wearing a so-called ‘polos’-hat.
Limestone. Height: 126 cm. Dated 6th century BC (Phrygian period).
Found in Boğazköy, in the forecourt of the south east gate.
