I transfer pictures from several visits to these mosaics to sub-galleries in the Zeugma gallery to put some order in them. This is one such gallery. You will see my technique and equipment (and opinion on what looks best) changes over the years, as do the displays.
The staggering god is Dionysos, drunk as usual. He is supported by Skyrtos, a satyr, wearing a panthers skin. Telete (in Greek = "rite," "ritual) stands to his other side and she is carrying a thyrsos, an implement of the Dionysiac mysteries, a snake making his way up the staff.
