The mosaic was discovered in 2010 in the like named village and brought to the museum because of the, unfortunately usual, risk of it being excavated illegally and smuggled out of the country. A ranch-house had been here in the 2nd century AD, that was later turned into a monastery in the 4th century. The mosaics are from the 4th and 5th century.
