I remember going to the Old Scandia Restaurant when I was 5 or 6 years old, in the mid 1940's.
I remeber going up to the big table of food, by myself, and picking out what I wanted to eat.
I felt very grown up as my parents watched from their table. It was a Sunday afternoon and this is
a very special memory. So happy to find this article on the internet. Thank you.

Thank you Guest, and Angelo, for posting your comments and memories. The more information we have about these old places the better.

I remember going there as a kid with my parents and brothers.I recall they had these big dripping candles and a dance floor that when you went on it your clothes would glow,oh yeah and the smorgasbord.

Sorry I have to laugh at "quaint suburb" and "easy to find and worth finding". YOU CAN HAVE IT j/k
