These photos are selected in a way that hopefully you won't see the images of the same subjects in both sub-albums, i.e., you'll see the full view of the Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the San Marco Bell Tower only in 2011. In 2013 you'll see the close-up of the exterior designs being renovated, and the interior of the Basilica and the Palace, etc.

We were in Venice in October, 2013. You've captured the city's beauty. Wish the beautiful weather we had, had been yours too. But if your photos are really excellent, bad weather and all. Thanks for sharing.

On a nice day Venice is such a popular tourist attraction that every narrow alley you go/stroll during the day, you will see people (literally just 'heads & shoulders'' ) and more people in clusters of tourist groups (guides equipped with loudspeakers are quite annoying). In my last visit to Venice in 2012, I had to point my camera up shooting upper floors of famous buildings, or else the theme of the scene would have been "people mountain people sea". So, you 'chose' to visit Venice when there was mild flooding in 2013 is a wise decision after all. Denice, lovely photos in your album - I enjoy going through every picture!
