Terracotta Army

The trip to Lintong District of Xian to view the Terracotta Army and the individual Warriors was a striking experience. To me, the most captivating one is the Kneeling Archer in a special showcase (Photo 17-21). It's one of the few with the colours preserved. The proportion and the details of this sculpture are more than stunning, from the hair to the sole of his shoe, and this was created over 2,200 years ago !
