Basically, the sightseeing in Lhasa is the popular points of interest for average tourists. What made our tour a little more special was that we happened to be there on their Saga Dawa Festival, which is the holiest day of the whole year for the Tibetans. They celebrate this day to honour the life of Buddha. We were just lucky to have this chance to mingle with the crowd of locals, including the very religious pilgrims, seeing how they made each step - kneeling, praying and almost crawling all the way to the temple.
