We have returned to La Perouse, the Sydney suburb named after the French explorer who visited the
early New South Wales colony at its inception in January 1788. The two ships, replenished their
supplies and sailed away ... never to be seen again. This is a memorial to La Perouse and his crew.
We have just alighted from the 394 bus. The sun is shining. We look forward to a stimulating walk.
