Jaoua serait né en Irlande vers l'an 500 et serait venu en Armorique vers 520 en compagnie de Pol Aurélien et de treize autres compagnons, débarquant d'abord probablement à Ouessant, puis, sur le continent. Il aurait ensuite fondé deux monastères.
Peu après, la famine désola un village. On vint le chercher pour mettre fin à cette calamité par son intercession. Par sa prière, le village fut sauvé de la famine, mais il y tomba malade et y mourut le 2 mars 554.
Jaoua would have been born in Ireland around the year 500 and would have come to Armorica around 520 in the company of Pol Aurélien and thirteen other companions, landing probably first at Ouessant, then, on the continent. He would then have founded two monasteries.
Soon after, the famine desolated a village. They came to seek it out to put an end to this calamity through his intercession. By his prayer the village was saved from starvation, but he fell ill and died there on 2 March 554.
