The Land Where Were Born the Caravans (Tales from India III)

A journey through the past on the Western part of India. There used to start the caravans loaded with opium, spices, dry fruits, materials and many other products.
Through mountains and deserts they slowly moved on to China, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Middle East.
Rich merchants called Mahawari built there wide buildings - Haveli - where they traded and lived a luxurious life. All of these haveli were ornamented with frescoes and have rooms for music and dance, caravanserai... All around, in the town, they built very fine temples, wells, pools...
Jaisalmer, Shekawati...It seems that these places are still dreaming of long camels rides through the sand dunes under the sun, the moon and the Milky Way...
